International Symposium of Science Museums(ISSM) is a meaningful platform to gather science/museum professional across the world to explore major issues around science museums, have active discussion and seek solutions. At ISSM, science museum professionals interact with one another and share recent information and trend.

In 1990, the National Science Museum moved to the Daedeok Science Town. Since then it took on a role of a national science museum that collect, preserve, research, exhibit and educate on the subject of engineering, industrial technology, science, technology, and nature.
The museum occupies space of about 49,862㎡. with exhibition area of 16,740㎡. and various science and culture facilities such as space science park, water science park.
